Ferreira’s Duque de Bragança 20 Years Old Tawny Port is a fortified wine for leisurely sipping and a classic expression of the tawny style. The “20 Years Old” designation refers to an age category based on the average age of the wines in the blend, rather than the vintage of a single harvest. In tawny Port, extended maturation in wood encourages a more developed, nuanced profile than that of a young, fruit-forward style. In the glass, it may suggest dried and desiccated fruit, candied fruit, and delicate hints of spice or caramel; its intensity and balance depend on the composition of the blend.

It is suited to slow sipping after a meal or as part of a relaxed tasting. It can accompany desserts made with dried fruit, chocolate, or caramel, but can also be enjoyed on its own to appreciate the gradual development of its aromas. Its rounded structure and mature character are well suited to small glasses. It is best served not too cold, with the bottle carefully resealed after opening. A traditionally styled Port for those who appreciate layered nuances and a pleasant finish, while still seeking an overall balanced impression.
