The Prosecco DOC Treviso Spumante Extra Dry by Maschio Dei Cavalieri shows a fine, lively perlage that enlivens the glass. In appearance it is straw-coloured with greenish reflections; on the nose it opens with delicate notes of white flowers, apple and firm-fleshed pear, accompanied by a hint of citrus that brings freshness. The palate is soft and pleasant, balanced between the slight sweetness typical of the Extra Dry category and good acidity that encourages drinkability, finishing with a savory, moderately persistent finish.

It works well as an aperitif and pairs simply with finger foods, light starters and fish dishes that are not overly seasoned; it is also suitable for parties and informal occasions. Serve chilled, around six to eight degrees, in tulip glasses to preserve the perlage and aromas. The bottle bears the name of a producer known on the market; this description is intended to guide purchase without replacing direct tasting of the product.
