Winery history
Chartron et Trébuchet began as a maison de négoce in Burgundy, founded in 1984 in Puligny‑Montrachet by Jean‑René Chartron and Louis Trébuchet. Over the years the house has become known for its selections of white wines from the so‑called “Triangle d’Or” and for bottling prestigious appellations, including Premier Cru and Grand Cru. In 2016 the brand was acquired and integrated into the network of Maison François Martenot, which relaunched the range while preserving the maison’s identity.
Production philosophy
Production emphasizes the selection of recognized terroirs and winemaking and aging practices focused on elegance. The aim is to express the purity and typicity of great Burgundy Chardonnays, while also offering reds and crémant produced to commercial and regional quality standards.
Terroir and vineyards
Historic headquarters and operational base in the Côte de Beaune — the so‑called Golden Triangle of Burgundy. For its Crémants the house also purchases grapes from areas such as Beaujolais, the Côte Chalonnaise and the Épineuil area; its portfolio covers many Burgundian appellations, including Premier Cru and Grand Cru.
