La Confrérie Du Rhum Cuvée n. 22 (2016-2017) is an extra-old rhum that stands out for its elegant, measured presence. In the glass you sense warm, enveloping notes: dried fruit, a hint of baked apple, dark honey and vanilla; the aromatic picture is completed by subtle sweet spices and a touch of lightly toasted tobacco. The intensity is well balanced, without excess, suggesting an aging process that has softened the edges without erasing the freshness.

On the palate it shows a rounded body, a soft entry and a balance between sweetness and savory notes that keeps the sip lively; light tannins and alcohol warmth support a pleasant persistence. It’s a rhum to enjoy neat or with a single ice cube to open the aromas; it pairs well with dark chocolate, nut-based desserts or as a contemplative after-dinner drink. Serve at a moderate temperature, in a tulip glass, to appreciate its finishing nuance.
