Roggio del Filare Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore by Velenosi is a sublime representation of the Marche territory, a wine that embodies the richness and complexity of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. This wine is the result of careful vinification and 18 months of aging in barriques, followed by a further maturation in the bottle for at least 6 months.

Visually, Roggio del Filare presents itself with an intense and deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections that become more pronounced with aging. On the nose, it stands out for its complex and seductive aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched by spicy notes of vanilla, tobacco, and dark chocolate, due to the elevation in wood.

On the palate, the wine demonstrates a robust yet balanced structure, with mature and well-integrated tannins that accompany a long aromatic persistence. The acidity is well-balanced, facilitating a pleasant drinkability, while the alcoholic warmth harmoniously blends with the fruit and spices.

Roggio del Filare is ideal for accompanying structured dishes such as grilled red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. Its complexity and elegance also make it suitable as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed serenely in good company.

This wine not only testifies to the enological excellence of Casa Velenosi but also offers a distinctive sensory experience, capable of evolving and improving over time. It is recommended to decant for a few hours before serving to enhance all its potential.
