The Rosso Maremma Toscana DOC Riserva Poderalta from Tenuta Sassoregale is bold and enveloping; in magnum format it’s ideal for conviviality and for slow development in the bottle. On the nose it opens with ripe red and black fruit, hints of plum and cherry, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and a nuance of Mediterranean scrub; the whole is firm but not overpowering. On the palate the material is rich and well distributed: full-bodied, with polished tannins and a freshness that maintains balance, and a persistence that leaves room for fruity echoes and light toasty impressions.

Serve at around 16–18 °C; the magnum enhances the wine’s depth and its ability to support robust dishes without losing elegance. It pairs well with roasts, braises, game and aged cheeses, and also stands up to typical Tuscan preparations. Excellent for a bottle to share or for those seeking a structured red with good personality and an aptitude for cellar ageing.
