Rosso Piceno DOC Maschio da Monte by Santa Barbara is an approachable red wine intended for everyday drinking but also suitable for informal occasions. It shows a straightforward aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruit, light spice and a slightly herbal background. On the palate it has medium body, soft tannins and balanced acidity that give a pleasant freshness. The finish is clean and not overly long, suited to those who prefer an immediate, easy-to-pair style.

It pairs with cold cuts, dishes based on white meat, pasta with simple sauces and medium-aged cheeses; it is also well suited to pizza and homestyle traditional dishes. Serve at around 16–18 °C in wide glasses to better appreciate the aromatic profile; it can benefit from a few minutes of aeration after opening. For online purchases, store the bottle in a cool, light-protected place and consume it within a reasonable time to maintain its organoleptic balance.

Winery history
The winery and its name are tied to the village of Barbara; the production site occupies an old monastery. Production philosophy
Passion and innovation, respect for the land and grapes. The estate often makes experimental yet drinkable wines: “to make the wine that I like first of all, a wine for the drinker.” Organic practices are used for some labels, including Back to Basics.
