In the heart of Romagna, Fattoria Zerbina produces Marzieno, a Rosso Ravenna IGT that encapsulates all the richness and complexity of its territory. This wine represents a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah grapes, carefully selected from the most expressive vineyards in the area.

Marzieno stands out for its deep red color with garnet reflections as it ages. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, opening with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, enriched by spicy accents of vanilla and black pepper, along with light hints of tobacco and chocolate, evidence of its elegant aging in barriques.

On the palate, Fattoria Zerbina's Marzieno surprises with its perfect balance between the robustness of the body and the freshness of the acidity. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, leading to a persistent and enveloping finish, with a lingering aftertaste that recalls spices and dark fruits.

Ideal with robust dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this wine also beautifully complements traditional Romagnolo cuisine. Perfect to enjoy now, it also boasts excellent aging potential.

With Marzieno, Fattoria Zerbina not only celebrates the richness of its vineyards but also invites wine enthusiasts to discover the depth and intensity that a Rosso Ravenna IGT can offer. An oenological gem that continues to tell the story of a fertile and generous land.

Winery history
The origins of Fattoria Zerbina are rooted in the hills of Marzeno. Winemaking began when Vincenzo Geminiani purchased the land and planted the first vines. In the years that followed, family stewardship and a commitment to quality, under the leadership of Cristina Geminiani, brought the estate growing recognition on the regional and national wine scene.
Production philosophy
An approach that combines respect for tradition with research: careful vineyard management, focused winemaking and a commitment to quality without shortcuts. The estate aims to express the character of the terroir through structured wines, reserve bottlings and premium passito wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Marzeno, on the lower slopes of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, mainly on hillside soils planted to alberello training. The setting offers exposures and soils that are interpreted through winemaking tied to each individual cru.
