Elegant and restrained, the Royal Cognac de Grande Champagne AOC expresses the fine character of the terroir: on the nose white flowers and hints of ripe yellow fruit emerge, softened by notes of honey and vanilla that do not overpower the underlying freshness. The aromatic weave is compact yet subtle, with well-integrated oak that supports without weighing down; the whole leaves a sensation of precision and grace found in the best crus. Signed by Daniel Bouju for Folonari, it presents a balance that invites the sip, showing the typical expressiveness of Grande Champagne without excess.

On the palate the sip is enveloping but balanced, warm and silky, with a pleasant sapidity that keeps the drinking lively. Notes of toasted hazelnut and dried fruit intertwine with a light citrus hint, while the finish remains long and clean. It is best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass; a few minutes of opening softens it and reveals sweeter nuances. Excellent for contemplative sipping after a meal, it pairs well with dark chocolate, dry pastries and aged cheeses.
