San Lorenzo in magnum opens with clear notes of dried rose, wild cherry and a slight earthy hint; in the glass it shows an intense ruby color with subtle garnet reflections. The profile is typical of a Barolo: a vertical palate, lively acidity and well-present but already integrated tannins that add structure without dryness and support a long persistence. It is never heavy: the impression is of solid elegance, with spicy returns and a mineral streak that leads the palate to a broad, measured finish.

The magnum format enhances harmonious evolution, making it suitable both for long cellar aging and for important convivial occasions. Serve slightly aerated, at a cool temperature for a full-bodied red to appreciate the aromatic complexity; it pairs with roasted meats and braises, aged cheeses and traditional dishes where the wine’s structure can converse without overpowering. A Barolo of authentic character, meant for those who seek depth and substance in the glass.

Region: Piemonte
Country: Italia

Historic Verduno winery operating since 1830. Estate-owned vineyards spread across the crus of Verduno and Monforte. Vinifies exclusively estate-grown grapes, with a strong focus on indigenous grape varieties. The range includes several Barolo, Verduno Pelaverga "Speziale", Barbera d'Alba and Dolcetto d'Alba. Family-run operation with a long local tradition.
Winery history
Family-run for generations, the winery has been in Verduno since the early 19th century. The main building is an 18th-century house adjacent to the historic centre; the family has continued winemaking, maintaining a family-sized operation and management, and preserving the local tradition of producing and bottling wines of the Langhe.
Production philosophy
The winery prioritizes its connection to the territory: it focuses primarily on native grape varieties, produces wine exclusively from estate-grown grapes, and maintains an approach that combines respect for traditional practices, artisanal care, and attention to oenological and agronomic innovations.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the crus of Verduno and Monforte d'Alba. The area's microclimate and the calcareous soils of the Langhe hills shape the character and elegance of the wines, particularly the Nebbiolo/Barolo of Verduno.
Awards and recognitions
Several of the winery's wines have received awards.
