The Savennières La Croix Picot from Domaine de La Bergerie is a white wine produced in the renowned Loire region of France, known for its excellence. This refined wine is made exclusively from Chenin Blanc grapes, famous for their ability to precisely reflect the terroir in which they are grown.

The La Croix Picot stands out for its golden yellow color and the complexity of its aromatic bouquet. On the nose, it offers intense fragrances of green apple, pear, and subtle notes of aromatic herbs and minerality, typical of the schistous soil on which the vineyards thrive. On the palate, the balance between lively acidity and a medium body structure makes it incredibly pleasant and persistent.

Ideal as an accompaniment to elaborate fish dishes, shellfish, or goat cheeses, this wine enhances every dish with its elegance and freshness. Its aging potential allows it to be appreciated even several years after the harvest, revealing complexity and additional layers of flavor and aroma.

The Savennières La Croix Picot - Domaine de La Bergerie is an exceptional example of how Chenin Blanc grapes can express elegance, complexity, and the true spirit of the Loire terroir.

Winery history

The estate has passed from generation to generation and is today run by Anne, Marie and Amaury, who continue the family tradition by enhancing the area's vineyards.
Production philosophy
The approach aims to respect the soil and the identity of each parcel: careful vineyard work, selective harvesting and parcel-by-parcel winemaking. The estate is located in the heart of Anjou Noir, on predominantly schist soils with deposits of sandstone, puddingstone and clay; the area also benefits from a moderate oceanic influence. The property owns vineyards in areas recognized as Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts de Chaume.
