The Sicilia Merlot DOC by Planeta, produced in the splendid setting of Sicily, represents an elegant example of how the Merlot grape variety harmonizes with the Mediterranean territory. The grapes, hand-harvested, come from vineyards located in ideal positions, capable of giving the wine a rich yet balanced structure. After a traditional fermentation, the wine matures in oak barriques for a period that enhances its aromatic complexity with notes of ripe red fruits, plums, and a delicate spicy nuance. The color is deep ruby, while on the palate it shows a soft and velvety texture, supported by well-integrated tannins and a pleasant freshness.
