Elegant and vibrant, this Classic Method Brut white sparkling wine from Tenuta Massellina shows a fine, persistent perlage that enlivens the glass. On the nose, white flowers and lemon zest emerge, followed by a subtle biscuity texture and yeasty notes that add depth without overwhelming. The palate is fresh and savory, with lively acidity supporting a lean structure; the persistence is pleasant and the finish remains clean, inviting another sip.

Immediate yet refined in style, it works well as an aperitif and to accompany delicate seafood dishes, fish starters, light fried foods, or fresh cheeses and simply prepared vegetables. Serve well chilled in tulip or flute glasses to highlight the perlage and aromatic expression. A versatile companion for informal gatherings and more polished occasions, it emphasizes drinkability and elegance without excess.

Tenuta Masselina – Winery in Emilia-Romagna

Discover the story and wines of Tenuta Masselina.

A winery based in Castelbolognese (RA), operating in the hills of the Serra della Romagna subzone. It produces wines from indigenous and international grape varieties, with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Region: Emilia-Romagna
Country: Italia
Grapes: Sangiovese, Albana, Pignoletto, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano
Approximately 22 hectares in total, with 16 hectares under vine. Conversion to organic viticulture completed in 2019. Ownership and management entrusted to the Terre Cevico cooperative group. Renovated facilities for wine tourism: tasting rooms, an estate museum and event spaces. Use of renewable energy sources to support sustainable operations.
Winery history
The property, now part of the Terre Cevico cooperative group, has been relaunched in recent years with investments in the winery, aging rooms and wine tourism facilities. The estate has been restored by renovating historic buildings and converting them into spaces for tastings, a company museum and direct sales, integrating the project into the broader plan to enhance the Romagna region.
Production philosophy
The company's work aims to enhance the territory through attentive agricultural practices: respect for the vine and the soil, a transition to organic viticulture, and a reduction of the energy footprint through renewable solutions and low-impact climate control systems.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located on the hilly ridge between Imola and Faenza. The vineyards are situated on the area's clay hills, at altitudes ranging from approximately 50 to 200 metres above sea level, a territory well suited to Sangiovese, Albana and other local grape varieties.
