Descrizione

Elis in magnum presents itself with a very fine perlage and an elegant profile that invites you to sip. On the nose, white-fleshed fruit and citrus emerge, shaded by a light floral hint and by yeasty notes reminiscent of toasted bread; the result is a gentle yet convincing aromatic profile. The wine’s character is balanced, with freshness and sapidity well integrated into a structure that loses neither drive nor finesse, making it pleasant at first approach and interesting as it develops.

On the palate the sip is smooth and creamy, supported by delicate bubbles that enhance drinkability without weighing it down; the acidity keeps the palate clean and the finish remains pleasant to the end. The magnum format gives a softer expression and a fine capacity for development, perfect for convivial moments. Excellent as a quality aperitif, it pairs with seafood starters, crudo and shellfish, but also supports creamy risottos and more structured fish dishes; serve chilled.

Winery history

The winery has its roots in Caldaro on the Strada del Vino. According to the timeline published by the winery, its beginnings date back to 1967. The first official winemaker joined in the 1990s, and in 1999 ownership passed to the Roner family. In recent decades the winery has undergone several renovation projects, and it is currently led by Eva Kaneppele, a representative of the newest generation.

Production philosophy

The winery emphasizes the importance of terroir and careful vineyard management: hand harvesting, rigorous grape selection, and ongoing collaboration with local growers. Production is offered across several ranges, from everyday wines to selected bottlings and reserves, with a focus on sustainability and respect for nature.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located in the vicinity of Lago di Caldaro, in the heart of Alto Adige/Trentino-Alto Adige, along the Strada del Vino n.1. The production areas include morainic slopes and hills situated at approximately 320–450 metres above sea level, with the sandy and gravelly soils typical of the lake basin.
