The Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC Castello di Semivicoli by Masciarelli is a white wine that expresses the grape's character in a restrained way. With a bright straw color, it opens on the nose with discreet notes of white flowers, fresh citrus and a slight impression of white-fleshed fruit; mineral hints in the background help define the aromatic profile without overloading it. Its personality remains composed and leans toward balance rather than opulence.

On the palate it confirms a saline touch and lively acidity that support its drinkability, with a generally light structure and moderate persistence. It suits those seeking a versatile, clean white, ideal with seafood starters, fish dishes, salads and fresh cheeses; it also lends itself to everyday drinking. Serve chilled but not too cold to avoid muting the aromas. This description is based on the typical characteristics indicated by the name and producer, without references to vintages or undeclared practices.

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole – Winery in Abruzzo

Discover the story and wines of Masciarelli Tenute Agricole.

Winery from Abruzzo founded by Gianni Masciarelli in the late 1970s; best known for its Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC (Linea Classica), the estate’s everyday wine (100% Montepulciano, first vintage 1981), distributed in over 50 countries.
Region: Abruzzo
Country: Italy
Winery history
Founded in the late 1970s in San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH). The first bottlings under the Masciarelli name date to 1981. The estate grew from a few hectares to over 60 vineyard parcels across all four Abruzzo provinces and earned multiple national and international awards. Since 2008 it has been led by Marina Cvetic Masciarelli.
Production philosophy
Focus on native varieties (especially Montepulciano and Trebbiano), uncompromising quality and environmental responsibility: environmental management system, ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications, and investments in wine tourism (Castello di Semivicoli).
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards across all four Abruzzo provinces (Chieti, Teramo, Pescara, L’Aquila). For the Linea Classica Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC the grapes come from S. Martino sulla Marrucina (400 m), Bucchianico (250 m), Loreto Aprutino (350 m), Ripa Teatina (250 m), Colonnella (200 m) and Corropoli (200 m). Varied soils and elevations provide expressive diversity.
