It shows a vivid ruby color with garnet reflections, a sign of good concentration. On the nose it opens with ripe red fruit — cherry and plum — accompanied by delicate spice notes, hints of cocoa and light tobacco, and a subtle toastiness that doesn’t overpower. The approach is warm but controlled: the structure is broader than that of a young Valpolicella, with well-integrated tannins that support the fruit without weighing it down. The profile remains fresh thanks to elegant acidity and a pleasing sapidity that invites another sip.

On the palate it confirms its enveloping character, with full body, polished tannins and a pleasant mid-palate softness that evolves toward a savory, persistent finish. It is a balanced wine that sits well at the table: it pairs with braised meats, roasts and aged cheeses, stands up to mushroom dishes and structured ragùs, and is also suitable to accompany more complex preparations. Serve at a cool temperature, around 16–18 °C, to appreciate its warmth without losing freshness; it improves with a few years in bottle but is enjoyable immediately.

Winery history
Founded in 1883 in Soave by the Bolla family, the winery expanded over the following decades, extending production from Soave white wines to the great reds of Valpolicella. Over time the brand has become an international reference for wines from Veneto. The winery joined Gruppo Italiano Vini in the 2000s.
