To the glass it shows a compact ruby and a bouquet that recalls ripe red fruits, cherry and sour cherry, with subtle spicy notes and a slight earthiness that gives depth. The sip is full but smooth, supported by polished tannins and a fresh sapidity that balances the softness; a warm, enveloping sensation integrates the fruit and gives a clean finish, making the wine pleasant both at the table and in company.

It pairs easily with full-flavored dishes such as ragù pasta, roasted meats, stews and aged cheeses, but also holds up well to savory sauces and mushrooms; excellent with cured meats as an appetizer. Serve slightly cooler than room temperature to highlight its balance of structure and liveliness; in younger bottles a short decanting can further soften and harmonize the palate.

Winery history
Founded in 1883 in Soave by the Bolla family, the winery expanded over the following decades, extending production from Soave white wines to the great reds of Valpolicella. Over time the brand has become an international reference for wines from Veneto. The winery joined Gruppo Italiano Vini in the 2000s.
