Vigna Grospoli represents the most concentrated expression of Fattoria di Lamole within the Chianti Gran Selezione DOCG: it presents a clear aromatic profile, where ripe cherry and plum integrate with floral violet notes and a subtle spicy thread. The nose is precise without being predictable, hinting at a dense but well-sculpted tannic framework. The whole communicates elegance and composure, leaning more toward verticality than obvious over-extraction. The texture is fine, with a tannic sensation that tends toward silkiness on the finish, providing great drinkability despite the structure.

On the palate it confirms compactness and freshness: acidity leads the sip, the tannins are present but smoothed, and the sapidity supports the drink through a pleasant persistence that recalls dark fruit and light earthy notes. It pairs naturally with savory meats, roasts and aged cheeses, or with traditional Tuscan dishes; it also shows potential for bottle aging for those who want a few years in the cellar. Recommended serving temperature 16-18 °C, with a few minutes of breathing to appreciate the aromatic and gustatory development.

Labels identified as organic wines in promotional materials/catalogs
Winery history
The Socci family's presence in Lamole dates back centuries, while the Fattoria was consolidated as a business in the 19th century: local sources report that in 1870 notary Giovanni Socci unified the properties and founded the Fattoria di Lamole. In recent decades Paolo Socci has led a major effort to restore the terraced vineyards and historic buildings, renewing the plantings and recovering traditional clones of Sangiovese.
Production philosophy
The estate focuses on preserving the landscape and the local terroir: restoring and maintaining terraced vineyards, selecting traditional Sangiovese clones, and using low‑intervention winemaking practices. Several labels are listed as organic wines on the production sheets; the winery favors limited productions that reflect the identity of the place.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the village of Lamole, a hamlet of Greve in Chianti. The vineyards are planted on the hilly slopes of the Chianti Classico, with soils rich in alberese/galestro and macigno typical of the area; the microclimate and elevations contribute to the floral and mineral expression of the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Local recognition for the restoration of terraced vineyards and for eco-friendly practices in wine tourism.
