Gordon & MacPhail presents a Glen Grant 2009, 16 years of maturation that immediately reveals an elegant and luminous profile. On the nose it offers clean sensations of fresh fruit — apple and pear — accompanied by white flowers and a thread of honey and vanilla that does not overpower; the alcohol is well integrated and leaves room for aromatic clarity.

On the palate the sip is smooth, medium-bodied but with substance: the fruit continues to be present, joined by citrus touches and a slight almond note that supports the picture without weighing it down. The structure is balanced, with a persistence that stays on soft, warm tones rather than on tannins or excessive spice, making it suitable both for attentive tasting and for more relaxed moments. It is best enjoyed at room temperature in a tulip glass or tumbler, possibly with a few drops of water to open the aromas; it pairs well with dry pastries, dried fruit and soft cheeses, or can close an evening as a drink for contemplation.
