This Glenlossie 16-year-old expresses a measured and highly pleasant profile: on the nose it opens with notes of acacia honey, white peach and wildflowers, supported by light hints of malt and toasted bread. The overall impression is elegant rather than muscular, with subtle freshness and a graceful complexity that doesn’t rely on brutality to be noticed: it’s a single malt that aims for balance and aromatic finesse.

On the palate it confirms a soft, enveloping texture, with sweetness calibrated toward light caramel and dried fruit, then a thread of sweet spices that gives structure without weighing it down. The sip is warm but controlled, with a persistence that brings back the same line of honey and cereals and finishes on a clean aftertaste. Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to slightly open its tones; it pairs gracefully with aged cheeses, small dry pastries or a square of dark chocolate.
