Longmorn 2008 14 YO, selected by Gordon & MacPhail, presents an elegant and measured profile, typical of careful distillation. On the nose there are notes of honey and fleshy fruit (ripe pear, quince) accompanied by a floral undercurrent and delicate vanilla nuances; the oak is present but well integrated, providing structure without overwhelming. The palate is soft and enveloping, with a full-bodied feel that nonetheless retains excellent freshness and balance.

On the palate it develops echoes of light caramel, citrus zest and a slight salinity that supports the aromatic picture; the spices are discreet, more as background than as protagonists, and the finish stays clean and persistent with returns of almond and honey. Enjoy it neat at room temperature with a few drops of water to open its aromas, or paired with soft cheeses, dry pastries or dishes featuring cooked fruit, where its softness can shine without weighing things down.
