The Arran Rare Batch Peated Sherry presents itself with an immediate character: gentle peat on first impact that blends with the warm sweetness of sherry. On the nose there are hints of dried fruit and figs, a trace of dark chocolate and sweet spices, all supported by a mineral streak that keeps the profile clean and vibrant. It is a balanced whisky, where the smoke does not overpower but converses with the softness of the wood.

On the palate the sip is full and rounded, with an oily texture that coats the tongue; the smoke remains present but softened, leaving room for notes of burnt caramel, candied orange and a tannic edge that gives it structure. The finish is long and savory, with returning notes of spice and bitter cocoa. Excellent enjoyed at room temperature, neat or with a drop of water; pairs well with dark chocolate, aged cheeses or small smoked dishes.
