A winery in the Bolgheri DOC, situated on the heights above Donoratico (Alta Maremma), known for Bordeaux-style red wines and for a maritime white made from Vermentino.
Established within the historic Tenuta di Donoratico, Argentiera has been documented since the late 20th century. The label established itself on the Bolgheri scene with wines of Mediterranean character; in the mid-2010s ownership changed and the estate began a new cycle of investment to enhance its vineyards and hospitality facilities.
Production philosophy
The production approach emphasizes the expression of the terroir: a balance between maritime influence and hilly soils, care for individual vineyards and quality-oriented practices in the vineyard and cellar, drawing on international technical expertise to refine the style of the wines.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate located in the southern area of DOC Bolgheri, in Località I Pianali. The vineyards face the Tyrrhenian Sea and are situated on hills that take advantage of the sea breezes and the soil variability of the Alta Maremma.
