Production philosophy
Production focuses on Sangiovese and on expressing the estate’s varied soils. The vineyards are farmed according to organic principles; cellar practices include slow fermentation, ageing in large casks and minimal intervention.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the hills south of Montalcino, Tuscany. Its vineyards are devoted to Sangiovese and grow on varied soils, including clay, tuff, galestro and red soils.
