The Etna DOC Rosso - Contrada Diciassettesalme in Magnum format (1.5 litres) by Cottanera is an exquisitely concentrated and complex expression of the native Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grape varieties, grown on the slopes of Etna in Sicily. This wine specifically comes from the Diciassettesalme district, one of the numerous microzones within the Etna area which stand out for the unique characteristics of the volcanic terroir and the specific microclimatic conditions.

The vines grown in this district benefit from the rich mineral composition of the soil, the high altitude and the temperature variations between day and night, contributing significantly to the aromatic complexity, structure and freshness of the wine. The Diciassettesalme district is recognized for producing wines of great elegance, with a refined fruity expression and notable minerality.

The Magnum format is not only an ideal choice for special occasions, allowing you to share the wine with a larger number of guests, but it also offers advantages in terms of wine aging. Wines in larger bottles tend to age more slowly and potentially more harmoniously than standard bottles, thanks to less exposure of the wine to oxygen.

Visually, Etna DOC Rosso - Contrada Diciassettesalme has a translucent ruby red color, typical of Nerello-based wines. On the nose, it reveals a rich bouquet of aromas that include ripe red fruits, floral notes, hints of spices and a characteristic mineral vein. The olfactory complexity is the result of both the grape varieties and the influence of the volcanic terroir.

In the mouth, the wine expresses notable elegance and balance, with fine tannins and a lively acidity that gives freshness and drinkability. Red fruit flavors and earthy, mineral nuances intertwine in a harmonious palate, leading to a long, persistent finish.

Ideal to be paired with rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, Etna DOC Rosso - Contrada Diciassettesalme is a wine that celebrates the richness and diversity of the Etna wine-growing landscape, offering an unforgettable tasting experience.
