The Metodo Classico Extra Brut by Cantina Puiatti presents itself as an elegant expression of Ribolla Gialla, an indigenous grape variety of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Produced in Magnum, this sparkling wine offers a broader and deeper perception on the palate, thanks to slow maturation and a long aging on the lees, which give it complexity and finesse. The production area, characterized by mineral-rich soils and a climate tempered by alpine breezes, provides freshness and vibrant acidity. On the nose, aromas of white flowers, slight citrus notes, and a delicate hint of yeast reminiscent of toasted bread and almonds emerge. On the palate, it is refined, dry, with fine and persistent bubbles that accompany a savory and decisive aftertaste. Ideal to accompany fish appetizers, shellfish, or light vegetable-based dishes, this Extra Brut perfectly expresses the noble and sparkling soul of Ribolla Gialla.

Winery history
Active since 1967 in the Isonzo/Friuli area, Cantina Puiatti has established itself as a producer dedicated to the modern reinterpretation of Friulian white wines. Over the years it has maintained a distinctive style focused on the pursuit of freshness and aromatic clarity, while remaining part of larger ownership groups within the wine sector.
Production philosophy
The winery favors the fullest expression of fruit and terroir: vinification in stainless steel, fermentation and aging on the fine lees, and limited or no use of wood for the whites. It also promotes sustainable vineyard practices with measures aimed at preserving biodiversity and soils.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills and along the banks of the Isonzo, in a microclimate that combines Mediterranean influences with continental currents. Gravelly, pebbly soils impart sapidity and minerality to the wines, while moderate diurnal temperature variations encourage slow, balanced ripening.
