The Barolo DOCG - Ravera from the Sordo winery is a highly prestigious example that well represents the Piedmontese winemaking tradition. This wine originates from one of the most celebrated areas of the Barolo denomination, the MGA Ravera of Novello, renowned for its ability to impart complexity and longevity to its wines.
The Barolo Ravera from Sordo is produced entirely from Nebbiolo grapes, meticulously harvested and selected. After the harvest, the wine undergoes a rigorous fermentation and maceration process lasting about 30 days, followed by aging in large oak barrels for at least 24 months, ensuring the full development of its complex aromas and flavors.
On the nose, the Barolo Ravera unfolds an intensely aromatic bouquet, with notes of cherry, tobacco, and subtle hints of chocolate and mint, enriched by an undertone of damp earth and fine spices. On the palate, the wine reveals a robust and well-balanced structure, with mature yet lively tannins that harmoniously integrate with a fresh acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with a fascinating evolution of flavors that invites another sip.
Perfect to serve at a temperature of 18-20°C, the Barolo DOCG - Ravera from Sordo is ideal to accompany complex dishes such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It is also a wine that lends itself magnificently to aging, capable of evolving and improving in the cellar for many years.
The Barolo Ravera is not just a wine, but a true oenological experience that tells the richness and elegance of the Langa lands through the glass. A must for lovers of noble and structured wines.
