Il Merlot Lazio IGP "Montiano" di Falesco rappresenta un esemplare eccellente di come il merlot possa esprimersi nel cuore dell'Italia. Questo vino rosso, proveniente dalla regione del Lazio, è frutto di una scrupolosa selezione delle uve merlot, coltivate in vigneti ben esposti e beneficiari di un microclima ideale per questa varietà.

Al naso si presenta con un bouquet ricco e complesso, dove si distingue la presenza di frutti rossi maturi, note di vaniglia e leggere sfumature di cioccolato, derivanti dal periodo di affinamento in barrique. In bocca, il "Montiano" sorprende per la sua struttura elegante e robusta, un tannino vellutato che bilancia perfettamente l'acidità. Il finale è lungo e persistente, con un retrogusto che riporta ai frutti rossi e a un leggero tocco speziato.

Questo Merlot di Falesco è ideale per accompagnare piatti di carne rossa, selvaggina e formaggi stagionati. La sua versatilità lo rende anche un eccellente compagno per momenti di meditazione. Il "Montiano" è un vino che può essere apprezzato immediatamente, ma che si evolve magnificamente anche con l'invecchiamento in cantina.

Winery history
Production is linked to the historic Burlotto family of Verduno. In recent years Gian Carlo Burlotto has taken over the family winery and part of its vineyards and, together with the next generation, has relaunched production under the commercial identity "Cantina Massara" and labels bearing his name. The winery maintains a strong connection to the local Barolo tradition and to the historic vineyards of the area.
Production philosophy
The approach highlights the connection to Verduno and the local winemaking tradition: wines that aim for a balance between aromas and structure, respecting classic winemaking methods and the expression of each cru.
