The Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia from the acclaimed Podere Forte winery is a true expression of the terroir of this renowned wine region in Tuscany. This wine is the result of a rigorous selection of Sangiovese grapes, which grow on clay and galestro-rich soils typical of the Orcia hills, ensuring optimal ripening.

Podere Forte follows a philosophy rooted in harmony with nature and employs organic and biodynamic methods in its viticulture process, making Petrucci Anfiteatro a genuine and high-quality wine. The vinification involves spontaneous fermentations thanks to indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maturation in oak barrels, which further refines the aromatic profile of this noble red.

Upon tasting, Petrucci Anfiteatro stands out for its intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight touch of vanilla and earth, faithfully reflecting its origins. On the palate, the wine is robust yet elegant, with well-structured tannins and a freshness that invites another sip. The finish is persistent, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of aromatic herbs and Mediterranean scrub.

Ideal for accompanying elaborate red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia is a wine that also evolves magnificently with aging, promising a favorable evolution for years to come.

Every sip of this wine is a celebration of the winemaking excellence of Podere Forte, destined to satisfy the most discerning palates and lovers of robust Tuscan wines.

Winery history
Podere Forte was founded as an agricultural project led by Pasquale Forte and developed around the idea of a self-sufficient estate. The estate, operating since 1997, has re-created an integrated farm in the Val d’Orcia where viticulture, olive growing, beekeeping and livestock farming coexist, following organic and biodynamic practices.
Production philosophy
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with attention to soil health, production autonomy and the enhancement of local resources. The approach combines traditional techniques with precision tools in a system called "Sistema Forte," aimed at environmental and social sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Val d’Orcia, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the vineyards are planted on soils rich in schist and clay at varying elevations, which favor typical expressions of Sangiovese and Bordeaux-style blends. The estate also has extensive olive groves and large areas of agricultural land.
Awards and recognitions
