Nero Di Sei presents itself as one of the most authentic and intense expressions of Etna DOC, the result of the expert hand of Palmento Costanzo, a winery deeply rooted in the most fascinating volcanic territory of Italy. This wine is primarily made from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the lava slopes of Etna, where the altitude and unique climate give the clusters an unmistakable aromatic complexity.

The vinification method involves careful aging that enhances the freshness of the grape variety without betraying the typical tannic structure, giving a bouquet characterized by notes of red fruits, Mediterranean herbs, and minerals, with a persistent and enveloping finish. The purity and elegance of Nero Di Sei make it perfect paired with Sicilian cuisine dishes, grilled red meats, or aged cheeses, expressing the volcanic soul of these lands at its best.

Conservative restoration of the historic winepress integrated with a bio-architectural cellar Vineyards distributed among the contrade of northern Etna Production focused on terroir expression: each parcel is vinified separately. Certified organic cultivation and adoption of ISO standards for business management Use of Ovum barrels for some aging and the traditional method for sparkling wines.
Winery history
The Costanzo family recovered and restored a historic palmento on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, which they purchased and returned to use in recent years. Today the estate is run by family members assisted by a local technical team. The restoration of the palmento and the acquisition of pre-phylloxera vineyards have guided the estate’s development and a production focused on contrada expressions.
Production philosophy
Enhance the diversity of Etna's contrade through separate vinifications, minimize intervention to preserve the integrity of the fruit, and adopt bio-architecture and sustainability measures in the winery, with selective use of stainless steel, tonneaux and large casks to respect varietal and terroir expression.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Contrada Santo Spirito, in the Passopisciaro area. Terraced vineyards on volcanic soils, gobelet-trained and supported by dry-stone walls of lava rock, situated mainly between 600 and 800 meters above sea level.
