The Sassicaia in Magnum format from Tenuta San Guido is one of the most celebrated and internationally recognized Italian wines, a true emblem of the "Super Tuscan" concept. Produced in the splendid setting of the Tuscan Maremma, within the Bolgheri estate, Sassicaia was born from an innovative vision which, in the 1960s, challenged the conventions of Italian viticulture, introducing Bordeaux grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) in Tuscany. This choice led to the creation of a wine of extraordinary elegance, structure and longevity, capable of competing with the great wines of the world.

The San Guido estate, led by the Incisa della Rocchetta family, has perfected its cultivation and winemaking techniques over time, achieving a perfect balance between power and finesse in Sassicaia. The unique soil of Bolgheri, characterized by stones (hence the name "Sassicaia"), clay and sand, together with the mild climate influenced by the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, creates the ideal conditions for the ripening of the grapes.

The Magnum format (1.5 liters) of Sassicaia not only makes the wine particularly suitable for special occasions and sharing, but also promotes more harmonious and prolonged aging, allowing the wine to develop even greater complexity and depth over time .

The winemaking involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in French oak barriques for approximately 24 months. This process gives Sassicaia its olfactory and gustatory signature, characterized by a mix of ripe fruit aromas, spicy, balsamic notes and a light touch of vanilla and tobacco.

Visually, the wine has an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses a complex and inviting bouquet, where red fruits blend with elegant notes of aromatic herbs, spices and a distinctive minerality. In the mouth, Sassicaia surprises with its elegance, with silky and well-integrated tannins that support a rich and complex structure, leading towards a long and persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, game and mature cheeses, the Sassicaia in Magnum format from Tenuta San Guido is a wine that represents a high-level tasting experience, celebrating Italy's ability to produce world-famous wines.
