The Barolo DOCG produced by Mario Marengo represents an elegant and profound interpretation of one of the most famous Italian wines, enhancing the distinctive qualities of the Nebbiolo grape in the heart of the Piedmont region. The Mario Marengo winery, located near the municipality of Barolo, is a small family business that has stood out for its dedication to quality and an approach that respects both the territory and traditional winemaking techniques.

The winery's production philosophy places a strong emphasis on the careful selection of grapes, coming from vineyards located in some of the best areas of the Barolo denomination. These vineyards benefit from climatic conditions and soils ideal for Nebbiolo, allowing us to obtain grapes of the highest quality, characterized by perfect ripeness and exceptional aromatic complexity.

Winemaking follows traditional methods, with the aim of preserving the integrity of the fruit and enhancing the varietal peculiarities of Nebbiolo. The process includes long fermentations at controlled temperatures, followed by aging in oak barrels, which helps to integrate the tannins and further develop the complexity of the wine without overpowering its natural characteristics.

Mario Marengo's Barolo has a garnet red color typical of Nebbiolo, offering the nose a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruit, dried flowers, spices, and balsamic and earthy hints. On the palate, the wine expresses remarkable elegance and an impeccable balance between tannic structure, lively acidity and aromatic depth. These characteristics come together in a long and persistent finish, which suggests excellent aging potential.

Mario Marengo's Barolo is an example of how passion, tradition and knowledge of the territory can converge in the production of wines of the highest level, capable of describing the richness and diversity of the Piedmontese landscape. It is a wine that finds a precious ally over time, revealing new facets year after year and confirming its prestigious position in the panorama of great Italian reds.
