It can be defined as the authentic Italian Amaretto. It was born in 1851 in Saronno, from an ancient recipe that provides for the infusion of the famous Amaretti Chiostro di Saronno biscuits in alcohol.
Subsequently, the product obtained is filtered, other secret ingredients are added, then diluted with water and sugar and finally bottled.
It sports a beautiful bright copper color. Complex and subtle aromas of almond paste and apricot kernels arrive on the nose, with hints of dried fruit, star anise and cola nut. A velvety opening leads to a full body, slightly sweet with toasted almonds and marzipan, blended with notes of dried citrus fruits and hints of spices. Long and persistent finish, with meringue and almond aftertaste, and hints of pink pepper.
A liqueur of great style and purity. Excellent drunk cold, on the rocks, or used as the ideal ingredient for a quality amaretto sour. It goes perfectly with sweets, ice creams and fruit salads.
