Caol Ila is an ancient distillery born in 1846 in the strait that divides the island of Islay from that of Jura, near the west coast of Scotland. This strategic place was specifically chosen to be able to access all those natural ingredients that guarantee the production of single malts of the highest quality.
The word "Moch" comes from the Gaelic and means "Dawn"; it is so called because it is defined as a "departure" intended as a starting point.
Produced from pure peated barley malt, Caol Ila Moch is a whiksy that amazes for the lightness of the bouquet and the full-bodied taste. A true point of reference for its category.
At sight it shows a delicate and bright straw yellow color. The bouquet of aromas is delicate, with delicious citrus scents of lemon and ripe fruit, conquered by the sweet note of custard and a hint of sun-dried grass, with a background of faint smoky nuances. In the mouth it reveals itself with a robust sip, a soft almost silky sensation, and sensations of smoke and peat. Slow finish, rather dry and with good persistence.
