Islay is a Scottish island known as the "Queen of the Hebrides", is the southernmost of the Inner Hebrides, is part of County Argyll, and is located approximately 25 miles north of the Irish coast.. This is where a large distillery resides that produces a historic icon, a Scotch Whiskey with a very long aging perfectly balanced between the marine distillate with an imposing peat, and a perfect, skilfully dosed smoking.
After 16 years of slow maturation on the island, Lagavulin is ready to be bottled, in recent years it has developed a persuasive roundness counterbalanced by its youthful strength.
A great classic with a fairly pale straw yellow color with golden reflections. The smoked aromas are perfectly balanced, capable of enhancing the characteristic hints of peat and sweet pipe tobacco, hints of Lapsan Souchong tea, with notes of aromatic herbs where the dry laurel stands out. In the mouth it is particularly full and peaty, characterized by ample softness and a very long marine finish rich in iodine and flavor that conquers the palate.
