Gin East Bombay Sapphire is a label of the homonymous and famous English house, whose origins date back to the 1700s, and is inspired by the atmospheres, scents and aromas of the fascinating oriental world. Born from the desire to create a Gin capable of melting the typical English tradition and exotic dreams.
In the production process, botanicals of oriental origin are also used, such as lemongrass from Thailand and Vietnamese black pepper. It is a distillate with a dry, decisive and surprisingly spicy profile, which combines the balsamic and citrus notes of the Classic Gin with a peppery final touch. The essences are imprisoned with steam infusion and the distillations are carried out with two ancient Carterhead copper stills from 1830, flanked by two more recent models.
Gin Bombay Sapphire are loved by passionate connoisseurs, for the total respect of the most ancient traditions, which still today allow you to savor the true original taste of the famous distillate.
It is a Gin with a particularly aromatic and intense taste, made with classic botanicals; juniper, lemon peel, coriander, angelica, iris, wheat of paradise, cubeb, cassia, almonds and licorice plus a selection of oriental botanicals including lemongrass from Thailand and black pepper from Vietnam.
When poured it shows a transparent and crystalline color. On the nose it expresses timid and slightly spicy notes, fresh citrus aromas of lemongrass, on a classic balsamic background of juniper. On the palate it enters soft and spicy, very harmonious, and ends dry on pleasant peppery notes.
