The Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC by the Serio and Battista Borgogno brothers is a wine that masterfully enhances the Barbera vine, interpreted according to the tradition and experience of one of the most esteemed wineries in Piedmont. Located in the heart of the Langhe, this family business dedicates particular care to the cultivation of vineyards and winemaking, with the aim of producing wines that are a faithful expression of the territory and its native varieties.

The wine has an intense and brilliant ruby red color, with reflections tending towards purple, a sign of its concentration and richness. On the nose, the Barbera d'Alba Superiore by the Serio and Battista Borgogno brothers unfolds a complex aromatic bouquet, where the notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, intertwine with hints of spices, chocolate and a subtle trace of wood, the result of careful refinement in barrels which enriches its profile without overpowering it.

In the mouth, the wine is powerful but at the same time elegant, with a well-defined structure supported by a lively acidity that characterizes the Barbera grape. The tannins are soft and well integrated, contributing to a velvety texture that envelops the palate. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of fruity and spicy sensations that invite a new tasting.

Ideal in combination with traditional Piedmontese dishes, such as agnolotti del plin, braised meats and roasts, but also with medium-aged cheeses, the Barbera d'Alba Superiore from the Serio and Battista Borgogno brothers demonstrates great versatility at the table. It is also a wine that can benefit from further aging, developing complexity and more complex aromatic nuances.
