Winery history
The Parpinello family has been cultivating vines for several generations. The family business traces its roots to their grandfather Luigi’s passion and to Giampaolo Parpinello’s oenological training. After decades of experience in local wineries and the acquisition of vineyards in the Alghero and Lago di Baratz area, the business was formalized with the founding of the winery Poderi Parpinello in 2009, bringing the third generation into the company's management.
Production philosophy
Combines tradition and innovation to enhance local grape varieties and the territory's identity. The estate focuses on quality and typicity through vineyard practices and modern cellar techniques, complementing production with hospitality activities to showcase its wines and the surrounding landscape.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are distributed across three areas around Alghero: the coastal area near Castelsardo, the vicinity of Lake Baratz and the Janna de Mare area, where the winery is located. The setting is the north-western Nurra of Sardinia, with soils characterized by calcareous marls, conglomerates and sandstones that contribute to the wines' pronounced minerality.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions and recognitions in national and international competitions; for example, the winery was listed among the winners at the Douja d'Or and appears in the lists and medal tables of competitions specializing in Vermentino.
