The Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC "Florilegio" produced by Cerreto Piano Winery is an authentic expression of one of the most lively and sunny terroirs in Tuscany. This wine positions itself in the winemaking scene as a testament to elegance and robustness, characteristic features of Maremma wines.

Made from selected Sangiovese grapes, the region's main grape variety, Florilegio also includes a small percentage of other local varieties, which contribute to its considerable complexity and a distinctive aromatic profile. The winemaking process adheres to tradition, yet with a keen eye on modern technologies that preserve the fruit's purity.

Visually, the wine displays an intense ruby red color, with garnet hues that emerge as it ages. On the nose, it reveals an intriguing bouquet of ripe red fruits, notes of vanilla, and hints of aromatic herbs, reflecting the rich biodiversity of the region. The wise use of wood during the aging process endows it with nuances of sweet spices and tobacco, seamlessly integrating with the fruity profile.

On the palate, the Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC "Florilegio" is structured and full-bodied, with a harmonious balance between acidity and nicely polished tannins. The lingering and pleasantly aromatic aftertaste invites a second sip.

This wine pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses, but it is also sublime on its own, as a contemplative drink. The aging potential of this Rosso DOC allows it to be enjoyed over the years, revealing new nuances of its character.

The Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC "Florilegio" from Cerreto Piano represents an excellent choice for those wishing to discover the intensity and richness of Tuscan wines, while maintaining a connection with tradition and the territory.
