The Vdf Rouge Ministre Imperial from Domaine Abbatucci represents an excellent example of how biodynamic viticulture can best express the terroir of Corsica. This red wine is a blend of indigenous Corsican grapes, carefully selected and vinified to reflect the uniqueness and purity of their natural environment.

Visually, the Ministre Imperial exhibits a deep and intense red color. On the nose, it immediately reveals complex notes of ripe red fruits, subtle spices, and a slight herbal touch, which testify to the typicality of the soil and the growing climate of the vineyards. On the palate, the wine is vigorous yet balanced, with a well-integrated tannic structure and a persistent freshness that invites another sip. The aftertaste is long and pleasantly aromatic, with echoes of earth and minerality.

Ideal to serve with robust meat dishes, aged cheeses, or traditional Corsican dishes, the Vdf Rouge Ministre Imperial is a superb choice for those seeking a wine with strong territorial identity and respect for nature. A tribute to biodiversity and sustainability in the art of winemaking.

Winery history
The Abbatucci family has been cultivating vineyards in Corsica for generations. In the 1960s Antoine Abbatucci began collecting and planting threatened indigenous grape varieties, creating an important ampelographic collection. Today the estate is led by Jean-Charles Abbatucci, who has converted the estate to biodynamic practices and continues to promote local varieties and historic vineyard parcels.
Production philosophy
The winery's approach is centered on biodynamic viticulture and on respecting the land as a living organism: the use of biodynamic preparations, working according to lunar rhythms, integrating animals into the estate's ecosystem, and experimental practices such as traditional grafting, irrigation with brackish water on experimental plots, and even experiments using music to stimulate the plants.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Taravo Valley in southern Corsica, the vineyards lie on low-to-medium altitude granite soils and are characterised by Mediterranean influence and Corsican maquis.
