The Etna Rosso DOC "Cuordilava" by Donnafugata is an excellent quality red wine that comes from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, a region known for its fertile soil and unique microclimate. Produced primarily from Nerello Mascalese grapes, with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio, this label is a tribute to the expressive power of native Sicilian vines grown in soil that is unique in the world for its volcanic composition.
"Cuordilava" stands out for its intense ruby red color with slightly garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet of berries, spices, and balsamic notes, with a faint hint of vanilla and tobacco from aging in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is structured and well-balanced, with silky tannins that lead to a long aromatic persistence, a sign of refined elegance and a strong territorial identity.
