This wine is a refined expression of Bordeaux terroir, reflecting the rich history and winemaking expertise of Chateau de Barbe Blanche, an estate distinguished by its dedication to quality and excellence.
Chateau de Barbe Blanche Rouge is mainly composed of Merlot grapes, with the addition of Cabernet Franc, following the tradition of Bordeaux blends. This varietal composition offers the wine a complex and harmonious structure, characterized by a softness and roundness typical of Merlot, balanced by the freshness and liveliness of Cabernet Franc.
At sight, the wine has a deep ruby red color, with purple hues that underline its youth. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red and black fruit emerge, such as cherries, plums and blueberries, enriched by spicy notes, chocolate and a slight accent of vanilla, the result of aging in French oak barriques.
In the mouth, Chateau de Barbe Blanche Rouge offers a rich and enveloping tasting, with fine and well-integrated tannins that give the wine a solid but elegant structure. The balance between acidity and alcohol is impeccable, leading to a long and persistent finish, with aromatic returns that recall olfactory sensations.
Ideal in combination with red meats, game dishes, mature cheeses and dishes rich in flavours, this wine is perfect for special occasions or as a complement to a refined dinner. Its complexity and elegance also make it an excellent candidate for aging, capable of evolving and enriching itself with new aromatic nuances over time.
