Grappa Fresca comes from the distillation of a large blend of pomace of semi-aromatic grapes among which we find Pinot, Moscato and "l'incontro Manzoni 6.0.13." all coming from the Veneto area.
It is obtained through an artisanal distillation, by means of a plant that has always been used in a discontinuous cycle with direct steam, one of the few still in operation at low pressure and low temperature. The 4 small boilers of which it is composed are rigorously made of copper, as per tradition. The very slow distillation cycle processes small batches of pomace (cooked) at a time, for a duration of about an hour and a half. Once distilled, the grappa remains in steel containers for about 12 months; during this period the product "rounds off the edges" and takes on more delicate and soft olfactory sensations.
Limpid and crystalline to the eye, it stands out to the exuberant, intense and clean nose, with slightly fruity floral notes. On the palate it is round and pleasantly warm, a particularly inviting grappa both on the nose and on the palate, to be enjoyed after lunch even in summer.
Excellent with not too intense chocolate, perfect with tasty cow's milk cheese with plum jam. Try the combination with cream ice cream.
