The Saumur Blanc Château Yvonne from Chateau Yvonne is a French white wine that embodies the elegance and sophistication of the Chenin Blanc grape variety, grown in the heart of the Loire Valley. This wine stands out for its complex and alluring aromatic profile, offering vibrant notes of white flowers, honey, and flint on the nose, reflecting the rich limestone terroir on which the vines are planted.

On the palate, Château Yvonne's Saumur Blanc surprises with its freshness and liveliness, featuring a balanced palate that skillfully integrates acidity and minerality. The fluctuating nuances of white-fleshed fruit, like peach and pear, are complemented with a slight touch of vanilla imparted by oak barrel maturation.

This wine also distinguishes itself with its well-defined structure and a pleasant aromatic persistence. Excellent to serve as an aperitif, it is also the ideal companion for dishes based on fish, seafood, and goat cheese. A wine of rare elegance, it reflects the meticulous care and passion with which it is produced, splendidly representing the expression of its terroir.

Certified organic farming and the use of biodynamic practices. Artisanal production with native-yeast fermentations and minimal cellar intervention.
Winery history
The castle has stood for centuries, with vineyards historically surrounding Parnay; the modern vineyard was restored in the late 1990s and, in 2007, Mathieu Vallée took over management, retaining the name Château Yvonne and developing the production of historic cuvées such as Yvonne Blanc and Yvonne Rouge.
Production philosophy
The estate practices organic farming and, according to several sources, follows biodynamic principles and low‑intervention winemaking methods: hand‑harvesting, indigenous yeasts, limited use of sulfites and little or no filtration/fining. The approach aims to express the terroir naturally.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Parnay, within the Saumur and Saumur‑Champigny appellations, with a terroir of limestone/tuffeau and parcels spread across several small plots around the village and on the 'Côte' that slopes down to the Loire.
