The Franciacorta Brut DOCG Cuvée Royale from Tenuta Montenisa, a prestigious brand of the historic Marchese Antinori winery, represents an excellent example of finesse and elegance in the panorama of Italian sparkling wines. This wine is produced in the renowned area of Franciacorta, in the heart of Lombardy, a region notorious for its production of high-quality classical method sparkling wines.

The Cuvée Royale is mainly composed of Chardonnay grapes, enriched with small additions of Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco, which contribute to creating a complex and harmonious structure. The winemaking process strictly follows the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle and a maturation period on the lees that is not less than 24 months. This extensive rest in the winery's underground cellars gives the wine remarkable aromatic complexity and a creamy texture.

Visually, the Franciacorta Brut DOCG Cuvée Royale presents a bright straw-yellow color with fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose, it immediately reveals notes of fresh fruit like apple and pear, enriched by nuances of citrus and delicate floral touches. There are also more evolved sensations of toasted bread and yeasts, a result of the long fermentation in the bottle.

On the palate, the entry is lively and fresh, balanced by a good structure and a soft effervescence that caresses the palate. The finish is long and clean, with returns of fresh fruit and a pleasant minerality that invites the next sip.

This Franciacorta is ideal as an aperitif or paired with delicate seafood dishes, but can also be appreciated with light starters and fresh cheeses. Its elegance and versatility make it perfect for celebrating special occasions or for adding a touch of class to any meal.
