Gin Malfy orange is produced in Moncalieri, near Turin, by the Vergnano family. The main protagonists of the distillate together with Juniper and 6 botanicals, are the peels of Sicilian blood oranges, a prized variety that is harvested in November.
The blood orange peels are soaked in alcohol and pressed, the infusion is then mixed with juniper and other botanicals before being distilled; the rich red color, together with the fresh Mediterranean notes, distinguishes Gin Malfy with Orange.
A label that surprises with its unique personality, in addition to orange peel, the recipe includes: Tuscan juniper, coriander, cassia, licorice, angelica, Amalfi lemons and grapefruit peel. At the end of the vacuum distillation with steel still, the Gin is ready to be bottled.
When poured it shows a beautiful orange color with bright reflections. The bouquet denotes intense notes of orange, lemon peel and grapefruit, hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub with a balsamic aroma of juniper and licorice.
The sip is pleasantly citrus and fruity, with a perfect balance between delicious sweetness and freshness, with a slightly bitter finish.
