Sangue di Giuda by Vanzini is a pleasant sweet and sparkling red wine, obtained from Croatina, Barbera and Uva Rara grapes grown in the municipalities of Canneto Pavese, Montù Beccaria and San Damiano al Colle, located on the first hill of the Oltrepò Pavese. The vines grow on soils with a composition deriving from the disintegration of sandstone and calcareous marl with a clayey percentage, at an altitude of 220/280 m a.s.l. with traditional guyot training system and spurred cordon.
The vinification involves a primary fermentation and maturation in steel at a controlled temperature, the must from the red vinification is filtered and decanted into steel tanks, where it carries out the primary fermentation in a "reduced" environment at controlled pressure and temperature at 14-20°C for a period of about 15-20 days. The wine is then filtered, bottled and left to age for 25-30 days before being put on the market.
When poured, it shows a strong ruby red color with purple reflections. The olfactory profile is intense and fresh, with a prevalence of winy sensations followed by aromas of jam, fruity notes of cherry, berries and raspberries. A velvety and sweet, slightly fruity sip.
Pleasant on any occasion, perfect enjoyed at the end of a meal with desserts, especially with jam tarts, cantucci biscuits and dry pastries.
