Cantina Bertani, an ancient winery that dates back to 1857 with the Unification of Italy, with the desire and pride to represent the excellence of a new nation with a thousand-year-old culture. Catullus it is a drink that matures in 75 hectoliter French oak barrels for 12 months, plus a further year in 100 hectoliter cement tanks, and ages in the bottle for at least 6 months.
In the glass it presents an intense ruby red color. The olfactory examination reveals a refined wine extremely seductive aromas defined by the typical fruity notes of black cherry and cherry, and the delicate aromas of white pepper from the corvina grape, which are combined with sweet spicy notes of chocolate and vanilla.
Upon tasting, from the first sip it denotes great drinkability, typical of Valpolicella. An elegant, harmonious and balanced red with a velvety tannic structure and an evident and prolonged persistence of aromatic hints on the palate. The regal finish is soft, fresh and savory, which makes it an excellent wine matching to dishes based on roasted and grilled meat, platters of cured meats and not too mature cheeses, but also well-seasoned first courses.
Catullo is also an excellent wine to be tasted alone to fully enjoy its extraordinary organoleptic qualities.
