Georges Duboeuf is primarily known as one of the biggest names associated with Beaujolais, having played a crucial role in promoting the wines of this region and establishing the famous "Beaujolais Nouveau Day". However, Georges Duboeuf's production and distribution of wines are not limited exclusively to Beaujolais; the company has also extended its activities to other wine regions in France.

However, it is important to underline that a Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge - Georges Duboeuf does not represent a typical or well-known product under the Georges Duboeuf brand, since this denomination is located in the Rhône Valley, an area very distinct from that of Beaujolais in terms of varietals of grapes, wine style and terroir characteristics. Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in particular, is famous for its robust red wines, often produced from a blend of different grape varieties, with Grenache usually dominating, followed by Syrah, Mourvèdre and other local varieties.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are prized for their rich concentration of flavours, with notes of ripe fruit, spices, herbs and, at times, a touch of minerality and earth. These wines are known for their aging potential, becoming increasingly complex and layered over time.
