With an aging process, it changes to a ruby red color tending to garnet, this Pinot Nero stands out for its clarity and brightness. On the nose, it offers a complex and seductive bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and blackberry, elegant hints of violet, and slight spicy touches of vanilla and black pepper, derived from a careful aging process in barrique.

On the palate, Ploner's Pinot Nero Exclusive Riserva reveals a well-balanced structure, equipped with a vivid freshness that integrates well with the softness of the tannins. The harmony between acidity and alcohol is impeccable, culminating in a long and persistent finish that brings back the pleasant fruity and spicy aromas perceived on the nose.

This wine is ideal for pairing with refined dishes of red meat, game, and aged cheeses. Its versatility also makes it perfect as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed alone, to appreciate every sensory nuance.

The Pinot Nero Exclusive Riserva by Ploner is recommended for connoisseurs looking for a wine capable of offering a deep taste experience, while simultaneously ensuring excellence derived from careful and respectful production of Italian winemaking traditions. A true gem for any collector's cellar.

Winery history
Plonerhof was born from the conversion of an old farmhouse into a vineyard, led by the Tutzer family. The first bottling trials date back to the 2010s, with production consolidating in the early years of the following decade. The estate combines the owners' vine-nursery expertise with direct vineyard management, developing over the years an identity focused on low yields, clonal selection and quality wines.
Production philosophy
Vineyards are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, employing minimal interventions and a strong emphasis on manual work; at the winery the focus is on careful grape handling and a calibrated aging regime that highlights varietal and terroir characteristics. The estate has also undertaken projects on resistant grape varieties and clonal selection.
Terroir and vineyards
Marlengo hill: sandy-clay soils with occurrences of granite, schist and gneiss; vineyards on the valley-facing slopes with steep gradients, which promote a marked diurnal temperature range and the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions and awards for some wines: the winery's Solaris has been awarded or mentioned in PIWI contexts; the Pinot Noir is positively mentioned in specialist guides and rankings.
